Will Hair Loss Affect You Or Your Partner?

A question that many people find themselves asking is: "will my partner or I experience hair loss in the future?". Unfortunately, when it comes to this topic, it is very difficult to give a definitive answer as to whether or not you will experience the symptoms of hair loss - and to what extent these symptoms will be present.

The reason for the difficulty is that hair loss affects everyone at different stages in life, to different degrees, and often with a somewhat random disposition. Indeed, it would be very difficult to put an exact estimate on the time that someone will begin to experience such a problem - however it is not all impossible.

There are a number of indications which can suggest when hair loss will take hold, and hence when you need to do something about it. Probably the best indicator is family. Because hair loss is known to be in part caused by a genetic disposition, if your father experienced hair loss and a particular age, this is an excellent starting point to give you an indication of when you can expect to experience the same things.

History As A Guide

Here, we are using history to guide us as to future occurrences. Whenever we do this, the success rate is never 100%. Just imagine if we could use history to forecast the stock market. Everyone would be doing so, and hence the entire world would be making a profit.

The same thing goes for hair loss. If it was as easy as using history as a guide, nobody would experience the condition, because everyone would treated before it manifested. Therefore, when you think about hair loss on a personal level, you need to take into consideration a number of things. Your genetic disposition towards this issue is just one thing.

Another common symptom you may like to look out for is the very beginning of the hair loss. Again, this is a difficult indicator, because people will begin to lose hair in different places. In general however, we should all lose approximately 40 strands of hair every day. This comes out of the shower, and during the day. If you notice that you're losing more than 40 strands, this may be a good sign that you should investigate the possible cause of this as being hair loss.
